Rogue Rat

 

Rogue rat is interested in foregrounding the space in front of galleries. With the artist dressed as a rat, humour and spectacle are utilised to play with this space. To the artist, the rat embodies the outsider. 

 

The Rogue Rat conscientiously either cleans this space or attends to a red carpet that is rolled out at the public entrance to the gallery. The spectator is enticed to use the red carpet and to feel as priviledged as the art within. The rat never enters the gallery space.
